Hi Dave,
I have a set of original 2018 PP1 wheels for sale. They are 19" x 9" in front and 19" x 9.5" in the rear. Asking $400 and I live near Hartford, CT so I could meet you half way if interested. Front wheels will accommodate 6 piston brakes if you ever want to get larger brakes.
As an...
My set of original 2018 PP1 wheels are available if your interested. (2 19' x 9" and 2 19' x 19.5") They also come with original Ford TPM stems. I'm asking $100 per wheel plus shipping.
Hi Mark,
I have 4 original 19" x 9.5" PP1 wheels with Ford TPM's for sale. 3 of the wheels are perfect and one has a scar from hitting a curb and needs to be touched up. I had planned to offer them at a Mustang meet coming up in a few weeks, but you're on the forum so maybe these might be of...
I guess this is not going to make a lot of you happy. I drive my 18 Mustang GT PP1 all year long here in Connecticut. I'm running Michelin 265x40 19's in the front on 19"x9.5" and 285x40 19's in the back on 19"x10". It handles and drives great and I can easily go through 2.5" of snow. Besides...
The Wheel Shop is located at 70 King Street in Windsor Locks, CT. It's across from Bradley International Airport. They specialize in repairing wheels. I'm guessing the cost might run around $200 to 250 but their work seems to be top notch. Call before you go there and maybe send a picture. You...
I thought the 275/40 19 A/S 3+ was being discontinued, and it didn't appear the new A/S 4 series was going to be available in that size. In the winter I'm running the 265/40's in the front and 285/40's in the rear. I love the set up but I have to store my other set of wheels and tires off site...
Wow, that would be great if Michelin came out with a 275/40 19 A/S 4 later this year or early next year. I have already run a test putting my 275/40 summer tires on the front with 19" x 10" wheels (with 43 mm offset) and kept my 285/40 winter tires on the back. I drove around for about an hour...
Hi Doug,
I want to try running with a 43 mm offset if I stay with the 5 mm spacer I now have up front, but I'm willing to go to 3" studs and a 10 mm offset if that will let me fit the 285/40's upfront. Ideally, I'd like to go with a square setup using the new Michelin 285/40 19 A/S 4's that are...
Thanks for your response.
I realize the 285/35 19's are popular, but maybe that's why some owners feel they must lower the front suspension of their cars once they go to the shorter tire. I'm okay with the ground clearance I have now with 255/40 19's in the summer and 265/40's in the winter. I...
I think I noticed where Tire Rack is not going to carry the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ in a 275/40 19 any longer, but will be carrying a new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 in a 285/40 19. It made me wonder if Ford was changing the tire sizes on the Mach 1 since they are saying both the front and...
Thanks for all the input. I'm still wondering however, if the ride quality of A/S tires is somewhere between the original PP1 tires and the Michelin snow tires I just removed. I'm looking for a more comfortable ride. I know the combination of summer and winter tires is the ultimate way to go...
Having a 2018 PP1 DD, has anyone noticed an improvement in ride (comfort) when changing to all season tires? My Michelin snow tires provide a much better ride than the factory summer PP1 tires. I almost regret putting the summer tires back on this spring. Fortunately, I think I'll need new tires...
I think the photos worked this time. The tires are just slightly tucked. Maybe some would call these flush. Anyway, I really like the way these work and n rubbing issues at all.
I started out with just 2 19"x10" AM replica wheels for the back of my 2018 PP1 GT. Liked them so much I got 2 more and am using a 5mm space in front. Now running square with 19"x10" with 275/40 19's all around.
American Muscle's 19" x 10" replica PP1 wheel has a 48mm offset. I'm pretty sure I need a spacer to use it on the front, but I'm not sure if 5mm is enough. If I need more than 5mm maybe I'll just go with a 19" x 9.5" squared setup with factory wheels.
Thanks, that explains a lot. I couldn't understand why Ford wouldn't go with a wider wheel when they had a chance. I was speculating that they wanted to have a narrower wheel for some reason related to handling.
