Afternoon Everyone,
I had my clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bearing replaced by my dealer 9 months and 10,000 miles ago. Over the past two weeks the clutch pedal has been sporadic. Sometimes it feels normal, sometimes it's stiff and spongey, other times it comes up about 80% of the way and stops. I don't know what is causing this but something is up. I slightly suspect it's the throw out bearing but it could also be the pressure plate or the slave cylinder.
I'll be taking the car back to the dealer who did the install this week to have it looked at. I know Ford will do any and everything they can to get out of paying for a repair, but would this qualify and a premature clutch system failure?
As a side topic I would like to mention that this whole problem started once hot, humid weather hit. In the months before, the clutch was fine but once we got into the high 80s low 90s something happened. Any feedback on this would be awesome.
Thanks
