I was doing freeway speed in 5th and went to change gears into 6th when it seemed like the clutch just stopped engaging. I pulled off and tried to go from a dead stop where the clutch would bite for a second then just slip leaving the car going nowhere. I can even disengage the clutch while in any gear at a dead stop and the car wont stall. I have 1600 miles and Shorty's and tb for mods. Towing it to ford as I type this. Very disappointed at this point:frusty:

Sounds like clutch to me, not transmission.

Storm have you driven manual before? I would say whether you have experience or not, it shouldn't have gone so quick....

Every car I've owned has been manual from 130hp to 650whp over 15 years

That answers that! So an experienced manual owner and a a blown (or so it seems) clutch. Definitely doesn't make me feel good about taking delivery of my PP

I should add. I had a light puttering noise from what sounded like the tob at cold starts which would come and go randomly. Today's incident was strange there was no horrifying loud noise when it let go it was silent through and through even after the fact. Ford has it for early bird service tommorow so I'll keep everyone posted

What do you mean by "tob", I don't understand that sentence where it was used. Sorry, I am not trying to be funny, honestly want to understand fully what you are saying.

Thanks Todd and excuse my ignorance boys :)
In that case, yes it might be something like the throw out bearing that may have malfunctioned, or something is loose. Just curious now as to what that may be.

Damnit I have that same fucking noise..

[ame]

Is this what you talking about?

I also noted the first two times I went into reverse after getting the car I heard a loud hissing noise. It was almost like air hissing out of a tire but was of a hydraulic nature. I thought nothing of it at the time as I have not heard it since. When I noticed this TOB noise it has made me think twice about that noise. Does anyone know what kinda of TOB the MT-82 has and is the slave part of the TOB? Does the TOB use hydraulic pressure against it to keep it in line and lubricated?
