Not one I have, but something that I think should have BEEN standard...

8" screen. When redesigning for 2018, I don't see any reason Ford needed to keep the 4" head unit. It'll be on my next, be it a '22 CS or an S650—whatever's current if the latter.

I didn't think it'd bother me as much as it does when I got mine—though that's my own fault, from my naive mentality of getting a base model and wanting to build it.

My top 3 would be :
- 8” touch screen with dual climate
- active exhaust
- digital dash

I feel like we’d get those before hood struts 🙄

Hood struts would be nice, but... yeah.

Digital dash, going into '22+ I agree with. I still have a soft spot for analog gauges (or if we're being pedantic, "analog" gauges,) but, there's no denying the benefits of the digital dash.

That all of these are going on my next car speaks to the purpose of the thread, I guess 😁

Says the man with a 401a group car! Lol
Whose wife picked out at Ford dealership. I'm not kidding, she loved the sound and look. The comfort of California Special seats sealed the deal. We had a loaded Eco-boost at the time.
Her like me could car less about other options.
V8s, They sound so goooood ....

my regret is not getting the 401a with active exhaust.

BUT, I did the deal on the 400a without the options I wanted because that’s all they had on the lot when they offered the 0% interest deal last year.
That takes the sting out some.

Bluetooth and cooled seats. You're right @jd_cobra this damn Houston heat sucks and having the cooled seats makes it bearable. I've also grown extremely fond of rear view cameras when backing up, although I use my mirrors 80% of the time I'm backing up. Its just nice to glance at the screen and see what's behind/around you or how close you are to the car/garage/wall when backing in. Anytime I jump in my little '05 Ranger Shitbox as soon as I put it in reverse I look at the dash to see what's behind me out of habit...lol.

Things I think should be standard would be remote start, cooled seats and digital dash.

Oh yeah, one other thing I think should be standard is an actual oil pressure gauge. I've got a '18 GT Premium and it has some dummy wanna-be "oil pressure gauge" that just reads "normal". How about you let me know what my oil pressure is. WTF is "normal"...I bet ford defines that as anything between 15 - 98.5624785521436 PSI.

Your seats don’t cool that well? Mine get pretty damn cold even in the Texas heat.
The bottom does, but not the back. If yours do, you're lucky. There are several threads with people compliaining about about it.

This ^^^

Seat comfort, or the lack of it, is worth way more than the features you know you're not going to use.

I wonder if your wife is a distant relative of mine - her deal-breaker was strictly seat comfort, moving us up to the more fully equipped 'Limited' WRX trim over the 'Premium', and there's just so many things that came with the Limited that we've never used and never wanted for. Probably a lot of things that we don't even know are there.

Does the 401A have an engine oil pressure gauge display?...
My '20 (premium PP1 w/ 401A) has oil pressure as one of the options for the three gauges it can display in the center of the digi-dash.

I like the dumb toggles too. I just wish they would cycle both directions.

Agree the 4 inch screen should go. I bought used and am fairly satisfied with the 400A package. I've never sat in a 401A to compare seat comfort. If it's noticeably better I'd probably go for it if buying new. I don't like the look of the base cloth seats even though comfort was fine. I might have been OK with a 301A if the material was different. My cooled seats are OK but not super effective.

The digital dash is only of interest to me if it also provides better functionality and access to information. Don't care about the look. If buying new now I would be interested in magneride and active exhaust but I don't think they need to be standard.
