Has anyone installed black lugs as of yet on the PP2 wheels?.I did on my my PP1 but those wheels were all black.

If you have post some pics I am considering an all black or ford performance center cap as well.

I have the same plate holder and the plate can scrape and at times does. To me, better that than the underside of my splitter.

If I recall, trimming the plate like that can get you an extra ticket. Good luck

Hey Tim,
I have a black PP2 as well and also have the same Sto N Show Plate holder.
Honestly, I don't find I scrape too much, but I'm super careful.
I find that approaching and leaving plaza entrances / driveways at extreme angles helps.
Another thing that can help is what I did was I put a clear plate cover over the plate itself. The plate cover is just fractionally taller than the plate, so if i scrape, the plastic cover is acting as the "sacrificial part."

Thanks Eric..I recently came out of 2017 Z51 with a front splitter about 3 inches lower than our PP2 splitters so I became an expert at the 45 degree angle. On the Vette I scraped the hell out of the splitter just coming out my driveway almost daily.

The GT splitter is okay so just the tag scraped. At first I bent it but it didn’t look right. I got some vanity plates coming so I might try your trick or just try raise the tag by raising the screw holes up an inch and use some washers to keep it in place.

Of course I could always drill that bumper..

I scraped my sto and sho when I had it on. 392advisors had a front mount that went into your lower grille and that is what I replaced the s&s with.

Looks like the website is not longer working But eBay has something similar.

Funny, for me, the license plate IS the sacrificial offering!! I want to keep my splitter nice :).

Gotcha - Yeah, I like the idea raising the screw holes, keep us updated!
You know its funny you mention drilling the bumper - just the other day, while browsing thru pics of random other PP2s with the front plate mounted on the bumper as usual, and it really doesn't look THAT bad - I like how it's just closer and tight to the body. It looks "better" in my eyes in the regular location, than sticking out low like where we have it now. So I was thinking about drilling the bumper too - Go figure :cwl:

Agreed! On my lowered 15 PP, that stow and go scraped so much that the removal pin was grounded to a nonfictional nub. Had to remove the mounting fasteners to take the thing off at car shows. Definitely a sacrificial lamb to keep from putting holes in the bumper!

Great thread! Figured I would ask this here since you all are the PP2 experts. :)

Been looking for lightly used 19. Found one; Shadow Black, 401a, PP2, Active Exhaust, B&O system with 6,000 miles. Private sale and ask is $36k. This seems like a very fair asking and potentially great deal if the car checks out. Leftover 19s but 400 package are around $40k plus tax.

Any thoughts?

$36 is a good price for the 401a. Does it have the recaros? I paid about $42 or $43 for my 19 (sticker was $47) with recaros and exhaust and love it.

I string,y advise that you have a look at any warranty work done by a Ford dealer ( if any). Certainly have the seller present you with a Carfax . 6000 miles is pretty low -you would certainly know if there are any obvious things wrong with the vehicle by then .

No on the Recaros. Sticker was just over $50k on it. Def running a CarFax. Im an out of state buyer so that makes it a bit more complicated.
