there wouldn't be any major speedometer issue...maybe 1-3mph max. The issue with 245 is they are not recommended for 9.5" wheel.
245's are slim for a 9.5" wheel, however he stated that he wanted to use 4 "FRONT" wheels ;)

245 will fit the 9 ok and track better through snow, just some less traction if you slam the gas

Lol, zero slamming of gas if there's snow on the ground. My car may be white but I have no plans of turning it into a snowman.

Thanks for the info guys. I guess I'll plan on 245s for sure, assuming I can swap my rear PP wheels for someone's front PP wheels.
I'm still a little on the fence about what section width to go with. 40s seem to be cheaper but there will be a +1.2% speed difference in the front and a +3.5% difference for the rears. Going with 45s gets a - 2.3% speed difference in the front and a 0% change for the rear. Going off what I've read above, we want to match the rear size if possible, plus the extra sidewall definitely wouldn't hurt when it's negative 30 here in February.
Decisions decisions...

Most people would recommend a more narrow tire for their winter tires, also 245's fit fine on a 9.5 AND all tires run differently, some wide, some more narrow.

I think you might be ok running those 245 all around on the PP 19x9 and 19x9.5 . if this is the case, I may just keep my wheels and buy the pilot alpins

Thanks to this thread I just bought the Alpins A4 in 245/40/19.
Also have the GT with Performance pack , I do agree the 255/40/19 would work also but the price increase was significant for a set of 255 $1,200 vs the 245 for just under $800

Let me know how the 245/40r19 fit on the rear wheel of the 19x9.5 I was going to go with 255/40r19 Yokohomo icegaruds all 4 corners, but if i can get Michelins and they will fit the stock pp wheels i will buy those.

Shawn i'm on the same boat as you, problem is I don't think Tirerack has stock anymore of the Michelins so i might end up going with the Iceguards ig52c as well, anyone here have experience with those? There's also a $60 gift card with them.

Just called my local tire shop here in VA they strongly recommend the 255/40/19 for the rear, said the 245 will clear the front no problem. But I guess they are not willing to stretch the 245 over the rear tire. Going to call some other shops
