Would it be possible to go to a ford dealer and say "hey upgrade my base GT to a PP"? If not what are the major differences? Thank you in advance.

Doubt it but install would be expensive and not worth it if they would. Go aftermarket.

You'd get taken to the cleaners. You're better off just going with Ford Racing stuff.

Id just trade in what you have for the PP. Thats what i did. I broke even luckily, but you may have to dish out a few thousand dollars.

Stiffer suspension and chassis, more aggressive gears, and better brakes are the major differences. You'll immediately be able to tell the difference in the ride and gearing when you drive a PP and non-PP back2back. They behave like completely different cars imho, for better or worse.

Can I trade my 19" wheels (without tires) for the PP wheels at the dealer without paying extra?

So here is the list of the performance package upgrades:
• Strut-tower Brace
• Larger Radiator*
• Unique Chassis Tuning
• Upsized Rear Sway Bar
• Heavy-Duty Front Springs
• K-Brace
• Brembo™ 6-Piston Front Brake Calipers with Larger Rotors
• 19” X 9” (F) 19” X9.5” (R)Gloss Black Aluminum Wheel
• Unique Stability Control, EPAS & ABS Tuning
• 3.73 TORSEN® Rear Axle
• Gauge Pack (Oil Pressure and Vacuum)
• Spoiler Delete

Can anyone tell me what the heck is "Unique Chassis Tuning"?? They make it sound like they go underneath the car and do something so special to the suspension that they call it unique. I have seen no details as to what this really is. Wouldn't adding the brace, springs and bars be considered unique chassis tuning already?

That's what I thought to. I always thought the "unique chassis tuning" was just redundant. But maybe it is something different that we're missing?

Btw - is it preferable to upgrade the sway bars in pairs? Or do people often upgrade rear and fronts separately? I'm thinking of upgrading the rear sway even beyond the PP but I don't even want to touch the fronts because those will be a bitch to replace. Rear's seem pretty simple.
