You'd need to swap the whole set of brushed aluminum panels. Likely the wiring for the gauges is there, it's cheaper for Ford that way. My guess is about $2500 to get it all done based on prices others have mentioned for the panels. Me? I am happily living with three AC vents.

You could add gauges later but there is most likely no way to swap them in from the looks of it. The vacuum gauge is useless to begin with and there is one on the track apps. Though it's not to say I wouldn't mind having them :D
Ford should have put an oil temperature gauge with numbers on it in place of that in-dash vacuum gauge since there is already a virtual vacuum gauge on the Information Display.

Yeah that would have been better, I mean the vacuum gauge can be useful once in a great while, but in a "track" car it might as well be added weight.

$2500? I think for that price the third vent is suddenly much better looking! Shame though. I know the gauges are redundant and not all that useful but they just sort of completed the look for me.

The oil pressure gauge with real numbers on it certainly is useful.

But I think Ford just put the vacuum gauge in there because it moves around a lot which "looks cool" to a passenger in the car. Oil temperature with numbers would have complimented the oil pressure gauge for sure. You really do want to know what your actual oil temperature is if you're racing the car on a track.

Agree, oil temperature gauge by the oil pressure gauge would be more useful.

The panel with the gauges is $1500 from Ford, and comes with the gauges.

Wait another 6 months and you'll start finding them at junk yards? $500 seems more like a reasonable price... No way I would pay $1500-$2500, not to say I don't want them! ;)

I've seen a few PP dashes on eBay for about $1000, someone has just the gauges for $500 but of course you couldn't do anything with them by themselves. If all the cars were wired for them and they were plug and play that would be nice but I highly doubt it.

So, nobody know for sure if it would be plug and play or not? I have to think the differences would have to be rather small to keep costs down, though I would be worried about moisture with that AC vent there.
