I keep getting this message along with the wrench light. I took the car to the dealer, 21 GT500, and the codes were P2781 and P2777. They are for downshift circuit high and upshift switch circuit high. They couldn't find anything wrong but did a ECM & TCM update. I didn't make it 5 miles from the dealership and the first time I got on it the wrench light pops back up and I get the same message in Ford Pass. Has anyone else had this happen? if so, what ended up being the problem. I am hoping to find a direction to send them in.

Have you changed your steering wheel? I have seen similar issues when a harness wire gets pinched during the re-install. The issue can be immediate or some time after.

As a follow up to my original post, the issue ended up being the SCCM (steering column control module). Hopefully if someone else has this issue in the future this will point them in the right direction.
