Hello All,
So I've had my new whip for about 4 weeks and im loving it! Some small things bug me. For instance, I have a dash camera installed and plugged in using the center console power outlet. Previously in my '99 *Cough* accord the dash cam would power off when I shut down the engine and took the key out of the ignition. In my mustang the power outlets continue to provide power to the outlets (all 2 of them) even after the engine is shut down and car is locked from outside. It continues to run for about 30 minutes. Dont quote me on that its a rough estimate. But definitely more then 20 minutes. I contacted ford and they say there is no way to decreate this limit, so I was wondering if anyone here has encountered this and if they were able to fix this. Its not really an issues as much as it is an inconvenience. Keeping the dash cam recording 30 or so minutes after Its been parked is annoying af. Any help is appreciated.
Another thing I was told at the dealership is that the center console USB Port can charge at 2.0A. This doesnt seem to be the case since it charge my phone 2% in 30 minutes.. Not sure if they meant the actual power outlet thats next to the USB port in the center console...
