Hey Fellas -

Of course this may not be advisable; however, is there a way to turn off the car going into reduced power mode when the transmission starts to get too hot? I assume this is a software item.

Forscan?

It's part of the tune. I don't think a responsible aftermarket tuner would or should do this either. Your transmission would be toast very fast and then what would you do? Blame the tuner? Blame Ford? Blame yourself? Just get a damn cooler.

Might as well turn off the rev limiter while you're at. If you're going to do it wrong, do it right.

Thanks. Just curious if anyone had done it.

No need for a cooler, moving to a 2017.

As said, new it wouldn't be advisable just curious.

Couldnt in you put in a resistor inline from the sensor to reduce the voltage (temp) the computer sees?

Im curious what happens if you disconnect it.
