Hello all other Vert' owners,
I've been searching and kicking myself in the head trying to figure out a viable solution to the lack of low end punch with a convertable S550.
I didn't want to sacrifice my spare tire nor did I want a big old sub box dominating all the trunk space.
I had this Cerwin Vega amplified underseat subwoofer in my 15' GMC Canyon, partially under the passenger side seat. It doesn't fit under the Mustang seats(not enough clearance).
I'd been playing around with where else I could possibly use this Sub and just today, I tried another position I'd not tried before. In the trunk, wedged between the trunk floor and the bulkhead just behind the rear seat.
Guess what,,, it Fits, and nice and tightly with my trunk liner. Actually, it m accommodate 2 of these(which is my goal). It accepts speaker level input and has a remote. It really added a decent amount of low end in my GMC. I figured 2 of these in the trunk in this general position would be just the ticket.
I'd like to use just one gain/Volume control which I'd mount in the center console, so, I'll need to find a RJ45 splitter to experiment,, or just use 2 controls.
I will play with this idea and share my experiences as I go along to possibly assist other Vert' owners with another "option" for those who casually desire some added bottom end with the OE sound system.
