Went on a little road trip yesterday and was finally able to do some extended highway driving. At 75-80mph, we averaged 22mpg. There was some city driving mixed in with this (had to pass through a number of small towns). On flat ground, I suspect it could hit 24mpg. All said and done, it seems to be right in line with my '12.

So my 48 mpg seems a little high? Should I have the dealership check/recalibrate?

Sounds about right for the trip from the top of Pikes Peak to the bottom.

"HighwayRob": compare your digital mpg versus 'real world' by recording the amount of gas you really put in against the miles traveled. I have a ScanGaugeII in my Chevy Silverado. The ScanGauge can be calibrated...the SG is typically 2-4 mpg different than the dash mpg display. It has been as different as 6 mpg. I may move it over to the EB for a month to see how close the dash mpg is versus the SG.

Tsunami. I have a premium EB Vert auto PP. Mixed hwy/local daily commute. About 8k in. 23 avg is as good as I get. I don't have any louvers in front of radiator (not sure how those are supposed to work, or on what EBs they are actually installed. Regardless, loving the drive!

"mpwillis": I also have EB convertible auto premium. I was upset when it arrived because it came without the advertised adjustable grill louvers...Since it had been held at Flat Rock for nearly two months without any reasons given by Ford, I thought that the missing louvers were part of the 'problem'. It turns out that Premium EBs never came with louvers. Some owners actually removed the louvers themselves without any apparent effects on the vehicle. I had assumed that the louvers were there to supposedly warm up the turbo more quickly...but my EB warmed up pretty quickly even during the winter.

I drove up north to Traverse City from Metro Detroit last weekend and I was on my way home and I decided I'd take it easy and see what kind of mileage I could post. I was shocked. My route is a little under half country road highway (55-65) and free way (75-80) 87 octane. 5.0 manual 300a recaro spoiler delete and 18" foundry wheels. I'm extremely impressed by this car over 15k on the clock got it in December. I have heard the computer might be off but this is still impressive especially considering I took the pic after work Monday so it does have one commute which for me is 75 696 southfield from Royal Oak to Dearborn. I have been averaging 22-23 mpg and I do also drive with spirit ( I got a ticket on my way up north, part of the reason I chose to test the mileage limits as oppose to the speed limits on my way back lol)

Here is my daily work commute MPG in my EB Premium with Auto. I reset the counter at home then headed to work.

The first 10mins is city driving; a lot of up hill and stop signs.

The next 10mins is mostly highway with no traffic.

The final minutes of the trip are all traffic stop and go. Really not to bad and I still am in the break in period as I only have 900 or so miles on the car.

I'm pleasantly surprised at the gas mileage in everyday driving after I broke through the 1500 mile mark; the computer reported 19.5–20mpg over the last ~400 miles.
It feels like charge-motion control valves are really doing their work at trickle–throttle in sixth. I feel like it's more responsive than the previous iteration of the Coyote in sixth at freeway speeds. In normal driving, it seems like the torque curve is significantly fatter with light pedal applications.
Most of my recent driving has been a mix of urban and freeway driving, 40:60, with frequent romps to the speed limit (Jimmy Carter would not be pleased).

With only 550 miles last month, we conveyed with our local Cape Cod Mustang Club from the Cape ( MA ) to in our Premium Guard Eco, about a 70 mile highway trip I way, and we got an amazing 38 MPG per the Mustang's computer.

( BTW- our Patriot's Stadium parking lot on Thursday night's has a cruise night that attract close to 2,000 cars on a nice night. )
