You can dig in deeper and see in the VCM scanner config for your vehicle and maybe tell if that 27% is the data from the primary or secondary fuel level. The vehicle config config details may indicate which.

The dash is predicting miles to empty from an average of your recent driving and with the current fuel level, so it can be pretty wack if your MPG is jumping around. None of that is super helpful because yours seems to change too suddenly, and my guess is you still have issues with the contacts or some loose connection.

I’d look for a used good condition replacement on ebay or a parts yard or wherever and swap both senders if you can find them for the right price. New from a *good* online vendor, they’ve got to be at least like $100 each. (guessing)
