Hey everyone,
Got a little bit of a problem with my fuel tank. The shop just told me the reason i keep getting the infamous P0456 code is because there is a crack on the the fuel vapor nipple and the repair would be in the neighborhood of $2200. So naturally being a gear head I told thanks but no thanks and I would be picking her up this afternoon. Has anyone had to deal with this; not so much the nipple, but dropping your tank. I do have a QuickJack lift at home so its no problem getting it up and working underneath . And its especially helpful that its not a daily driver. I just cant seem to find any information/instructions on doing it. Thanks.

Thank you for the thread. That helps me out quite a bit and gives me an overall idea of the job at hand. Dont want to jinx it but removing the exhaust should be easy but the drive shaft I'm going to hold comment on for now. My luck Ford in all their wisdom used some kind of unknown to man type of fastener on it. Thanks again....If anyone has any other tips or tricks for this I would greatly appreciate it.
