Hi all, I bought this car already lowered, it's on lowering springs (H&R 51691.77F) with stock everything else in the front, swaybar/struts, etc.

I have notices a prominent popping/clunking about 99% of the time when the car starts to move forward or backward. Also can note the same popping type sound if if hitting brakes while moving slow.

I've checked torque on all the bolts for the strut tower(top side and bottom side), sway bar end links, and can't find anything.

I made a video with gopro under the car, naturally it was one of the quieter times it is making the sound, but you can prominently hear it and I looped it a few times at end of video.

Any thoughts on this? Grabbing rotor with wheel off I can kind of hear a similar clunk if I shake it pretty hard (in the direction of if the wheels turned) - but have to try hard and cant see anything moving... passenger side - drives side I cant make any sound.

What types of things can I look for here to figure this out!? does it need adjustable sway bar end links since the car is lowered? I dunno if that could be issue? car also has 80k miles, so maybe a wheel bearing? (although I kinda doubt that?) -

thanks!!!

I had similar, was my lateral control arm. Front End popped every time I hit the brake and when hitting a bump.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to check to see if it's a control arm issue that I'm having? thanks!

I had a very similar sound and it turned out to be the tension link on the drivers side. When I removed it the ball joint was loose. Replacing it solved the problem.

Update, so after replacing all 4 control arms, and checking tierod ends, the same noise is still there!!! I'm wondering if sway bar end links may be the cause, or I don't know what after that! Any thoughts would be appreciated!
