I washed the car Friday and Saturday took it to a Cars and Coffee. When I returned home I used some detail spray to get the fresh bugs off the front. I noticed what appeared to be a bug on the passenger side front fender where the front bumper meets near the wheel well. I removed the "bug" only to find it was a tiny bit of paint off of the fender. The fender and the bumper are touching and I'm guessing they eventually rubbed enough to rub some of the paint off of the fender.

The fender still has primer on it and there's no other apparent damage. Just a pen tip sized of paint missing.

Not sure how to proceed with this one. Do I take it to Ford and try to get them to respray the fender and fix the gap? Get some touch up paint and live with it? Leave it and live with it? It is a bit upsetting with a 5k mile car that I try to keep as nice as possible.

It’s a 2019 - they’ll either have their body shop touch it up or have it contracted to a local body shop they deal with...

Either way, I don’t think a pen sized blender is going to require a complete panel respray - the last thing you want is a shade difference of a complete panel if the paint mix is not blended or mixed properly.

I would push Ford to fix it properly. Sorry for the future headaches though.
