I would love to have these on and running next to me going down the road! What are the chances?

You could wire them to your DRL or headlights.
No idea how, my car isn't even in production yet, but you'd prolly want it on when you start the car lights.

I've wonder how to do that. Maybe you can some how connect them to the turn signals so they turn on with those. Obviously only visible at night, but that would be pretty cool!

Because they are the single coolest thing about the car, and it sucks that they're only on when you're parked?

Pony shown statically as you drive - yes, there is probably a way such as simply rewiring/adding a switch.

Pony shown running as you drive - probably not as it would be a limitation of the hardware. I believe the current functionality is simply light through a filtered lens. New hardware such as a new LED structure and some programming to animate the pony would be required.

That is definitely going to be illegal. It'll fall under the same VC section as neon under-glow and such.

But, if you don't care about that... It's probably possible.

Guys are saying you can make the pony image project on the ground as you are driving the car by hitting the fog light button when the running lights are on ... or something like that. I haven't tried it yet.

So if it's illegal in CA, are the pony projectors disabled on CA Mustangs?

I don't really want them running, just on while driving at night! I'm sure it's illegal. Would be best to have them on a switch of some sort. It would be great if they could be programmed in with the rest of the apps!

Coolest thing about the car? I guess that is highly debateable, lol

A. I get more comments from girls about the pony projector lights than about every other aspect of the car combined by about a three-to-one margin.

B. One of the primary reasons I bought the car was that it would attract positive attention from women.

Draw your own conclusions as to how cool the pony projector lights are.

Oh. The projectors are not illegal, because the car is parked when the projector is on.

But if the projector was functioning while the car is in motion, it would definitely be a vehicle code infraction of some kind.
