Oh. The projectors are not illegal, because the car is parked when the projector is on.

But if the projector was functioning while the car is in motion, it would definitely be a vehicle code infraction of some kind.

It is an equipment violation. Basically anything you do to your car that is not from the factory is illegal and you can be cited for it. Something like this would be a lot more noticeable and there is a higher chance of you getting pulled over for it, depending on the cop of course since traffic citations are based on officer discretion. If it were me pulling you over, I'd ask you how you did it and send you on your way. As far as it being the single coolest thing about the car, to each his own.

And how exactly does that help you pick up women anyway? Do you drive around in the car sticking your head out the window hollerin at girls? when you go to da club, is your pick up line hey how you doin.. I drive a Mustang!

You might need to work on your pick up game or self-confidence if so.

And what constitutes a "status" car is really debatable. Everybody here drives a 3 Series or a CLA Class or an S4 or some Lexus SUV; it's notable to have something different.

I get that man, but you say you got the car to attract women, in asking how is that done? lol.

You know how it is, you go on a lot of dates and pick girls up for them to drive them someplace. Or at least I do. Maybe you meet somebody at a bar or a restaurant, but normally on the second date at least I drive them someplace. Better to pick them up in a wildly impractical brand new car with the bells and whistles than in a rusty Chevy Nova.
