I hope You dont think I'm turning my nose up at anyone buying a EB. Just saying that in my opinion when I think of a mustang I think of a V8.
I think the EB could be the car of choice for big power chasers in a few years
Think we'll see a lot more car manufacturers shifting from the heavy sided big engines to turbos and superchargers on the engines with smaller litre or smaller valve engines. That's just a pediction though.

Kinda can't compare the GT to the EB they're the same brand, but if you compare them, your V8 is your brute - strong and quick. But your EB is both Quick and more nimble (in comparrison to the V8). They're both amazing in their own categories for what they were designed to do.

Right lets stop that discussion before we get a big debate going on. tl'dr both fantastic cars.

I actually envy EB owners, not because I'd rather have the EB, but because the are able to exercise some kind of rationale when making the order. The EB offers more than enough power for me and is supplemented with reasonable fuel economy. I've essentially ordered the GT because the engine note sounds better, which is s rediculous reason to make that choice as it's probably gonna cost me at least ÂŁ50 a month extra in fuel alone than the EB for that privilege.

Fair play to Ford here for building the EB, if the decision to go for the V8 was a no brainer then they would have failed but as the EB is so good, the fact that people can order one & be proud of doing so speaks volumes about the engineering that went in to it I think. There will always be the die hard V8 fans, the ones who think a 4cyl is wrong & I would be very keen to know what they think after driving the EB.

And then more on insurance, and more on road tax, and more to buy...

I'd tallied them down to
EB less BHP less noise, GT more BHP more noise cost way more.
Kinda looked it and said, 300+ BHP on the EB is more than enough, sound isn't too bad, and it's cost (for a 21 year old) is way more managable for a daily driver. So settled on that, for the reasons it was, sense prevailed over sound, and investing 1k in an exhaust to beef up the EB is cheaper than the overall price of the GT, wont get the same horsies, but still, powers there!

Guys, forums are full of people who think they know better on how YOU spend YOUR money.

No matter what car you buy, it's your decision and there's no need to justify anything to anyone else. The Mustang is iconic in every guise and way cooler than anything on offer out there at the moment.

Suffice to say, we've broken the mold, pioneers if you like. I don't know if any of you are members of other forums, but for some on other forums, if you don't buy/have the car that is the forum subject, some will just try to slag of your new purchase without any knowledge or regard, no matter what car it is.

It comes down to basic human jealousy and envy,'I can't afford it so I'll slam it' mentality. Go onto any car forum and say that you think your current ride is better than theirs and you'll get flamed by the fanboys, it's actually hilarious.

Enjoy your EB's and V8's, I certainly wouldn't look down on an EB, it's got the same gorgeous haunches as my car, so the driver has got taste

Peace has broken out and EB and V8 owners are all friends.

Love the Camaro, but the cabin isn't as nice a place to be as the Mustang's. Also, steering wheel on wrong side for us.

I'm happy for people to think their car is better than everything else out there but can they not do it quietly/magnanimously ;)

Wrong answer, correct answer was 'Fk the bumble bee wanna be transformers camaro lovers' (This is meant as a joke before anyone jumps down my throat)
