hot off the press!

There you have it - 80% V8's! Can't decide if I am excited or disappointed to be in the minority lol. Very surprising though...

Hold on a second!

The article mentions that we will receive the GT with a loss of 5hp (as to the letter I received) from 415 to 410 hp...
How do we only start with 415. Its 435 hp in the States!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Fuel octane and EU advertising rules. Don't panic just fill it up with V-Power.

In the Mustang UK brochure it shows the cupholders being on the left side so I assume the handbrake is on the right.

Think it's been covered before that they didn't flip the handbrake over to the right for the RHD model they kept it on the left.

Don't be fooled by that pic, it's just a flipped image from the US brochure. They photoshopped the details like the steering wheel, emblem and gauges to fool us into thinking it was a proper RHD.

OK so the worst thing about the Ecoboost engine, is not the engine itself - it's great, I love it, both the idea & the execution. For me, it's perfect for what I want. The problem is that you have to explain what it is to everyone you talk to. You can literally see their mind's wandering "Ecoboost, wtf is that?" the moment you mention it. Think I might just buy some 5.0 badges & lie about it lol, then don't let anyone look under the bonnet :ninja:

Just tell them how many horses and torque and tell them it's turbocharged (twin scroll at that). That's all that matters. It's a cool piece of engineering.

Surely they would have been better just to call it a Turbo. No one who wants a Mustang want eco anywhere in its name, do they?

To non-petrolhead just say it's like a normal Mustang engine but it uses half the petrol and is still faster than most German cars on the road. That should be suitably impressive.

Or confuse the hell outta them by saying its a '4 banger turbo'.

They won't have a clue and will just back away slowly.

I have no problem with the Ecoboost - we are a bit more educated this side of the pond about turbo engines so the Mustang pushes 300+ that is more than enough but a couple of comparisons to lob in are always handy so I'm sure a couple of members here will be able to come up with some handy comps for everyone to use.
