Can they remap for fuel eccom? Just joking.
Serious question now. Are the remaps hidden, can the stealer see them in the event of a warrantee claim?
Don't let anyone tell you different, should your engine let go and Ford tells the dealership to investigate, the ECU does has an area that flags a checksum if the car has being mapped / ECU flashed (flash counter).

Some tuners will tell you that as long as your always restore your factory map before visiting dealership for warranty/service work then they cannot detect it.

This is a lie, everytime you flash your ECU, a checksum is flagged and recorded in a seperate part of the ECU and of course the dealership will know how many times the ECU has being flashed by themselves for updates etc. and then the additional amount by yourself or a tuner, this is when they can void your warranty.

Just go in knowing the facts, a guy in the US had his ecoboost explode due to running a plug in box, but he got lucky Ford still approved the repair because after tear down the remap was not responsible as the engine failed for other reasons that was nothing to do with modifications.

As with all IT, deffo be a log that the ECU changed, that being said, for warranty purposes, i doubt a ford engineer will ever know - unless there's a tune switch of some sorts. For the car crashing, and being a write off, ecu will probably be wrote off too, not sure if we've got any insurance experts, but, would they really check to see if the ecu is tuned? or just see a mangled mustang?

Have they got anything for the EB gibbo?
Yes they have EB in the works, it takes several days to write a tune from ground up and do testing, they are using SCT, so in theory they could use their maps and then fine tune them to our UK cars.

Their website:
http://www.dreamscience-automotive.co.uk/

Like them on FB as they post results on FB before their website.

I suspect EB will go to around 370BHP as turbo's are always easier to tune and a good turbo tune will be no harm to the engine, a bad tune could see the engine let go at stock power!

Its all in the tune!

My only worry is they fact they are using SCT as a base, we all know that the US guys go with Lund, Livernois or JDM because they are better tuners who tune the VCT better and have more skill with throttlebody tuning and of course they get more power.

But it is early days yet and Dreamscience told me these are just first results, they could improve further, they are still learning the car, which is great that they have their own V8 and EB cars to do all the research on and of course they can do custom mapping if you drive to them, which is what I'd rather do then running an email tune that needs datalogging, such tunes can work spot on but at same time they can be a tad rich as too much safety element is thrown in.

Yes with a similar torque improvement and then the fact it weighs less performance wise should put it right on parr with a stock V8 or very close. :)

Defo, the st was able to give S3s a run for their money so its all possible, the difference these make is unreal! Once they start circulating on ebay and going from pillar to post will have a better idea of how they suit the stangs

Is that 452BHP with just the map and CAI?? That's really really Impressive for NA

Well I was hoping for 460BHP. ;)

End of the day we know the car should be 435BHP, OK 430BHP if you take RHD manifolds into account, the other 15BHP we lost due to EU emission regulations.

So the remap wins us back from Ford EU took from us and then a further 15BHP for good measure. But yes good gains and at ÂŁ395 very good value in my view. :)

I am tempted to buy the GT 350 intake manifold, throttle body and 350 CAI and then take the car to these guys to get custom mapped, would hope to see 470-490BHP from that combo. :)

Just a shame the map will void warranty. Think I will go with the 350 bits at some point and then map at year 4
If you go 350 bits a remap is a must otherwise engine damage is possible. No point in making any performance mods to this car unless your going to map as CAI's, catback exhaust do little to nothing for power, they just change the noise.

Need a tune to see gains and be safe. :)

I am happy with the uplift in figures from just a map and CAI. I think it will be good to see how they develop the maps over time. From my experience with DS they have a good track record when it comes to development of thier products.

I just hope they don't supercharge thier development car too soon because the market they have for NA aftermarket parts is going to be pretty big and with only them and GT101 providing a UK market there is fair chance they could build some good initial traction which may continue until the next generation mustang is released.

I'm interested to see how custom overseas canned tunes compare to custom In the UK, if the ECU learns and needs reflashing over and over again it could be a pain in the ass with a custom tune over here
