Plastic trim around shift boot

Looks like the shiny plastic trim around my shift boot is about to start peeling. Does anyone know where i can get an aftermarket piece preferably not shiny plastic.

Probably easier/cheaper to remove it and paint it whatever you want.

Vinyl wrap is another option thats cheap and you can make it whatever color you want. I havent seen any aftermarket replacements for it so custom is going to probably be your best bet if you done want the stock chrome

Yep, all the replacement trim is plastic chrome.
It's time for you to customize it, maybe a carbon wrap?
Maybe a real leather shift boot while you are at it......

I found this one on lmr. It looks like it brushed. Says it fits all models without sync. I wonder what sync has to do with it other then it not saying sync on it.

Having observed my shifter being installed and seeing the part in the open air, I cannot for the life of me figure out why sync has anything to do with a shifter boot...

In the front of the chrome ring it either says "sync" or it does not. No physical difference other than that.

The GT350 trim is brushed, not chrome.

The Sync stamping is nothing the parts are otherwise identical. Just the gimmick for the premium cars to show it has Sync.

Mine is not yet peeling but it creaks and makes squeeky noises sometimes during shifting. Drives me nuts. Would love to find a metal replacement piece somewhere.

Is the GT350 boot nicer than the premium and is it compatible with the GT? Noted that the premium has white stitching vs the 350 being plain black.
