I'm heading over to PittRace for a couple of days at the end of May. I have never been there but have watched some videos; seems fun and a bit like VIR but without the long back straight. Any tips or tricks anyone might care to share?

Ive never had the mustang there yet...I used to run my track prepped G body a lot there.. I used the curbs a lot, just make damn sure your brakes are in tip top shape turn 16 I believe that is the number? (Its last turn before you get to pit row) that turn will sneak up on you and before you know you'll be in the grass.. Other wise its a fabulous track, Enjoy it!!

Walk the track if you can, there are many weird on/off-camber sections that you'll only see on a walk that will help you find grip.

Since Pittrace has a few long straights that lead to hard braking zones, this is a great track to learn how and when to brake hard. As the 350 has fabulous brakes, you should be fine to explore your limits as to your desire.

If I go there again, I would rather camp on site than stay in one of the nearby hotels. RV would be best. Track facilities are the top notch with new showers, washrooms and etc. Couple nearby hotels, on the other hand, are like abandoned shitholes despite premium cost. Rent a garage if you can.

The track surface is very aggressive on tires. It may rain pretty heavily. So, don't come with a set of worn Cups. 😄 can't give any expert advise on the lines and turns, as I've been there once. But, I agree with others - it's amazing track, very technical. Owners really invested into it. Just wish it wasn't in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the feedback. I will make sure to bang those curbs. Also I'm actually staying in a hotel near Pittsburgh since the wife and kid are coming along. And although I am bringing a set of semi worn cups (haha) I have my PSS as backup in case of rain.
