The only thing is that if I get a car, I'm not going to order a car, and there won't be a 051A w/spoiler delete on a dealer's lot. SO I would be stuck with it.

As for the axle ratio, I hear where you're coming from and I appreciate your definite opinion. The 3.15 may be just right. But I think it's a little more complicated than that, like Joe Stang points out.

If you spring for the $995 051A package anyway, then you might as well hold out for the 3.55, because theoretically you'll feel 12.5% more torque through the range, but good luck finding a dealer who has thought it through like that. Maybe in real life it cuts into the feel of the engine and you feel like you're driving an axle ratio and wasting gas. I don't know. But it's hard to find on a dealer's lot (in DIB or RR).

[Oh, and just my opinion, "base V6 with the 051A package and spare tire" really isn't base V6. You can get the eB w/wheels for that.]

If I can grab and extra couple of MPG over cutting a second off my 0 to 60 or quarter mile run, I`m ok with the Standard 3:15 gearing. Big improvement over MY 14 and its 2:73. True, finding a Base V6 Coupe/Fastback with the 051A Package with the Spoiler Delete Option 13D is going to be difficult. The old, "If its Free its for Me, thing. The Spare Tire should me available in most Stock Units though.

The 355 gears will be like 200 bucks to buy and probably less than that to put in, so no big deal if you don't find a car with them in already.

There listed for $180 but on pre-order status. A side note with them says good rule of thumb is anywhere for $250-300 for install. Yes it's more then the option from ford but atleast your not stuck with the 3.15's if your left wanting more.

Got mine with the spoiler delete as I thought I would go with the Roush spoiler but I'm really liking the CDC Outlaw wing for my car so I'll probably go with that one in about a year. Also thinking of stripes as well.

I don't normally care about a spoiler either, but the more I look at it and think about it, I think I'd just as soon keep the spoiler on the V6 051A. It distinguishes an otherwise basic car with a feature that the eB and GT PPs don't have. Also, it's so minimalist that it's kind of cute, and it just hints that hey, that guy might have a 3.55!

To me it looks like crap in person.
It ruins the gorgeous lines of the sheet metal, that allready has a mild duck tail lip on it.
And, it acts like a dam for water. All the lip equipped cars i've seen had water stains on the decklid. Just something to consider

Fyi - even tho it's a tiny lip, it's bolted on. So a delete after the fact is problematic.

I agree, the natural lip and rim of the 2015 Mustang Truck edge already has a bit of a built up "Spoiler" edge. Adding the (plastic) Blade Spoilers adds nothing. Its like putting "false eye lashes" on an already beautiful woman`s face!

Special order "exactly" the Vehicle you want and be done with it. You will get every Option and Color selection you wish. No regrets about, "second choice". Sure it will probably take 2 or 3 months to arrive but when it does, it was built specifically for "YOU"!

I have the infamous little lip spoiler on mine and, personally, it doesn't really bother me that much at all. i think it blends quite well with the body curves of the car and it's not something that strikes unless you really look for it

Sometimes, IMO, sheer simplicity is best. The trunk deck lid of the 2015 Mustang Convertible needs absolutely no "garnish"! Evidently, Ford knew that there would be a significant (minority) that would very much appreciate having the Spoiler Delete option 13D available. Too bad that the "brains" didn`t feel the same way about offering the Sirius Satellite Radio as standard equipment or at the very least a stand alone upgradable feature.

How hard (if possible at all) would it be to put the stock fog lights on a base V6? That's the only thing that bugs me about the bare bone V6. I thought I'd ask, although I feel that it would probably just be cheaper to go with the 051A pkg in the first place.

That would be pointless may as well spend the extra $995 for the 051A Package to get more then just the fog lights.
