phone connection issues

I have a 2016 base gt that I picked up October 5th and my phone worked just fine with the car until this friday. I was listening to music thru my phone and all of a sudden the stereo says bluetooth disconnected. Every time I turn the music on my phone it says this. It also doesnt seem to be working for phone use either. I tried used my phone in my truck today that has a kenwood in it and it worked normal, so i dont think its the phone. Has anyone had this issue or know something to try? I really dont want to have to make an appointment with the dealer as it will be a pain seeing as they will need my car and phone to verify the problem.

I have not had this issue at all with a premium. I know there is a way to reset the stereo system though so maybe try to reset it and see if it still happens?

Yeah, same thing happened to me. The "master reset" also did nothing. The only way to fix it was to disconnect the battery.

i tried pairing my phone again and it had problems loading phonebook and said it had been disconnected but then started playing my music so i guess i will see if it works in the morning when i head to work

Ever since i did my phone second to last phone update on my Iphone, I have been having serious issues with connectivity. Before that, it work perfect. I assume it is my phone and not the radio. At least I hope so.

Have you tried soft resetting your iPhone? Hold down the power button and the home button until the Apple logo appears. Keep me posted.

It still doesn't work. Every time I try to start audio it says phone disconnected.

I did the soft reset as advice by FordIVTeam and have not had the issue so far. Everything is working properly.

This used to happen on my explorer. I did a sync update and haven't had issues since. Try updating the software guys (to sync)

It happens once a week on mine. It will disconnect in the middle of using the phone to stream music. It's very annoying and a major bug with Sync 3 and soft reboots do nothing. Usually I have to forget the connection on both the phone and car and re synchs to get it to work again. There needs to be an update to Sync 3 to fix this annoying bug. Disconnecting the battery or resetting are not real solutions to the issue because it will only happen again!

Have you rebooted SYNC 3? Try holding down the POWER button and the RIGHT seek arrow.

I tried this and so far it is working. It has went thru two start cycles and still working anyway, hopefully it last awhile.
