Performance Shift Indicator

Has anyone else turned on the performance shift indicator function. I did this last night with an MX+2 obdc reader and forscan. Process took a few mins and now I can set the rpm indicator for shifts with the paddles.
There are two setting than need enabled under the IDC (performance shift) and (performance shift indicator). In forscan you simply set them to enable write and turn car off and on.

Forgive me, but can't you just turn this on through the menu's on the dash? Why the need for Forscan?

Feature does not show up in dash on A10, disabled by default.

Very cool Mike for the Auto trans guys. What is the center temperature indicator, is that just regular old Cylinder head temp? I need to drive my car more, sheesh.

Yep. Head temp. There isnt a oil temp option just pressure, figured this would be close enough.

Excuse my ignorance on this and the Forscan. Is this what you used, and how do you use it with the Forscan. When my Mach comes, I would like to do this. Thanks for the help.

Yep. I also run this to a small tablet for some additional live gauges Really nice tool, well supported. Forscan is free for a 2 month license.
As far as forscan runing, after you load forscan to a laptop that has bluetooth you can discover the mx+ and connect to it with laptop and run application.

Can also be used to interface with an app like Harry’s LapTimer….overlays data on top of the video from the phone camera or gopro. I used both on my 2013, but not this yet.

Isn’t the performance indicator those little red lines? They are for “OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE” Shifts LOL

I think so regarding changes its if forscan works with it...
