Whatever we do, we must not have a rear emblem that is circular. Even if most other cars have rear circular emblems, and even if the rear GT emblem on the new Mustang looks plain.

Rear circular emblems on Mustangs "signify a faux gas cap" and thus rear circular emblems are now politically incorrect.

Though I don't accept the term "politically correct" I do agree that the faux gas cap design has reached it's end. Time for something modern. :amen:

I used the term "politically correct" because I think folks are being politically correct. Round emblems are the norm across the automotive industry. Yet now it has been deemed incorrect for a Mustang to have a round rear emblem because a round rear emblem on a Mustang signifies "faux gas caps".

Thus we are stuck with a plain GT emblem.

I think the iconic tri-bar pony is perfect instead of what we've been shown. I would supplant it with V6, GT, Mach 1, etc. logo in the lower right corner of the tail light panel. The panel is big and needs something to break up the large expanse of black.

I'm between the horse or horse and tribar background. Not digging the GT. I'll certainly swap that rear badge out for one of the horses if I end up getting a 15 GT.

Sorry, I meant that I don't accept the term politically correct in any conversation, not just here. There's no such thing as politically incorrect talk. There are many (though I do not accuse you of being in that group) that would censor free speech in the guise of "political correctness".
I agree that I feel the faux gas cap is a retro styling cue that needs to be left behind.
Again, I meant no offense.

Perhaps it should just have a warning for M3, S5, Camaro and Challenger drivers that says " Like my taillights? That's all you'll ever see."

For me, the tribar pony looks too small there. I like the stock GT emblem, it instantly declares what it is, nothing more, nothing less..

The grille and the hood scoops up front distinguish it from the base, the 5.0 does it on the side, And the GT letters define it on the rear, even if you delete the spoiler. (Which I happen to like.)

Clean, clear, and simple.

The pony with tri-bar was always my favorite emblem and it looks good on the 2015. But the plain pony or GT are cool too. This will be a aftermarket money maker for sure along with emblem delete options.

Agreed chaz. the Tribar pony looks more appropriate as a fender or side grille badge.

I'm perfectly ok with the plain GT or pony on the rear. Very clean and modern looking.

Here you go  It's not bad, not sure which version I like better.

I really like this. Good job.

The pony itself isn't big enough for that big rear decklid I think. With the added stripes it anchors the rear much better.

Now what can you do about the lonely GT badge? :headbonk:

Love the Tri-Bar, but I plan on retrofitting my new GT with the plain Pony emblem from the base car. I find it the perfect statement, and would prefer a smaller GT off to the side or below the horse if at all. It definitely reminds me of Ferrari and Jaguar rear ends. Doesn't the 5.0 on the side pretty much say all that needs saying as to the GT status?

That would work if it was smaller and off to the side.

The best emblem for me is having nothing there. If people can't identify my car by sight, they don't like cars.
This !:headbang:

The red, white, and blue says "American". Not sure that works well for the One Ford world.
It would seem to me that is a piece of Americana that would not be rejected by enthusiasts in other countries outside of North America. They like the Mustang because it is American. With all the changes in the new car, it will be more competitive in the market as far as running gear.
