PCM Multi tune with SCT X4 flash device

I was wondering if anyone could answer this question I had

I just saw on the Internet that with pcm tech multi tune you can have multiple tunes in your car at once and can cycle through them with a press of a button on the wheel, always saw people do that and always thought you needed a professional tuner with a dyno, but I heard you can use the pcm tech multi tune on a SCT X4 flash device. Is that correct and how does it work with the device ?

( I have a 2022 Mustang 5.0 10 speed FBO )

I had an SCT XCal 3 on my S197 that had three tunes loaded on it - 87, 89, 93 octane. If I wanted to switch between them, I needed to burn off as much fuel as possible, shut the car down, plug the XCal into the OBD port, then use the XCal to flash a new tune. It took 15 minutes or so. I have an XCal 4 for my S550, and things work the exact same way. I'm not aware of any "push button" tune changes that can be done in the manner you're talking about.

I had Rob from P1 Tuners use PCMTEC to create a multi tune with canbus flex for my 2017 Whipple MT82 set up.

I have 4 power maps that are selectable on the fly and also automatically adjust timing/power dependent on how much ethanol is being sensed by the zeitronix box.

Its not cheap as you'll be nearly $2,000 into it after hardware, tuning credits, and tune fee. However, you cant beat the convenience and never ever have to worry about what fuel content you have or flashing tunes.
