And probably making a ton of heat. 24 # and only 900rwhp? I make more than that on 6 # less of boost with my PC. That kind of inefficiency would make me nervous.
Exactly the reason I don't want to push it past its rated RPM. I figure it must become pretty inefficient at that point. Pretty seriously considering turbos at this point since the head units are so damn expensive. Probably cost the same amount to get into some turbos and sell the paxton and my longtubes as it would to pick up a JT or YSI. Someone buy my shit

jt, jtb, ysi, billet ysi are all good options for upgrading if your wanting to put it on kill, of course we overspin our billet ysi by 8-10k
Your car is crazy fast. Guys listen to Terry, he knows what centri blower you need to upgrade and go fast.

buddy of mine just put down 896/735 with his Paxton 2200 sl 3.47 pulley overdriven %15 balancer ported heads blower cams built motor 8 rib set up on e-85. he's over spinning the blower 11,000 rpm.. peak boost is 24lbs. and its a stick tremec car...
So that overdrive balancer increases boost by like 9lbs?

It's only supposed to increase it 15% so if your car was making x amount of boost add 15% to that. That's from my understanding. 9lbs highly unlikely, if he was making say 15lbs it would increase 2.25 lbs for a total of 17.25lbs for example.

He has a 3.47 pulley to start with, so if you factor that in, its equivalent to having a 2.95 pulley. He has an 8 rib set up an there is no belt slip. He showed me the graph it’s hitting 24 lbs at 6800rpm. But with the paxton 2200 sl its extremely inefficient and i imagine over time that’s gonna be an issue and he knows it! He doesn’t use a cold air intake, he uses a turbo screen!!!

Yeah, the 3.48 pulley is 14-15psi depending on how high you rev it. I find it hard to believe the overdrive balancer is worth 9-10psi.

Here's a calculation on his blower speed:

15% OD pulley is 7.795"
Blower pulley is 3.47"
Step up ratio of 2200sl is 3.61
Engine RPM is 6800

So to calculate blower speed, you take crank pulley divided by blower pulley (in inches), multiply by step up ratio, then multiply by engine speed.

His 15% overdriven 3.47 would be: 55,144.57...that's not overspinning it by 11k...the paxton is ok to 60k.

That puts him basically right in between the 3.15 and 3.0 pulley.

I've seen plenty of dynos not read boost properly, or a/f ratio, etc. JPC made 996 at 19psi on a 2011, and made 1032 at 20.5. Same blower. There's no way he's making 24psi and only 896.

Guess who tuned his car Jpc..when jpc was using Paxtons before they went with the turbo they used the paxton oil fed race blower which is more efficient then a 2200 xl self oiling unit!

So is the math lying or the dyno's boost reading?

My buddy called paxton to confirm that his set up would be ok and the guy took all the information down. They input all his info into a formula they use to figure out how much he would be overspinning the blower they came up with 11000, and they said he should be ok spinning it that high! If anyone would know its the guys at Paxton!!!
