Ive been having this issue with my 2019 mustang GT (passneger window only) where when randomly driving the window drops and rises a quarter inch as if the doot would be opening and closing. I never get a door open alert when this happens and the door is fully shut. I found what triggers this event is whenever i open my door for a passenger, this usually causes the event to happen more often.

Ive tried simple resolutions that ive seen online such as removing the door panel and removing all plugs and blowing air into the connectors. Ive never noticed any damage to the connectors or damage at all. Sometimes when i do this and apply dielectric grease to my connector, sometimes it temporarily fixes the issue, but it always come back...

Im getting tired of this issue and always telling people to climb over the driver side to get in, and its becoming too much of a hassle always having to be aware of this issue. I sometimes cant even wash my car because it wont go back up.

I tried contacting the dealership and all they would reccommend me to do is hold the window switch up and down but that doesnt work. I asked them if they could fix the issue for me and all they could tell me is that it could take a few weeks for a technician to diagnose it and order parts, and that if that part doesnt solve the issue then the car would sit there longer until new parts were to come in... the 1/4 inch bounce has a mind of its own and only ever randomly happens. I could bring the car to the dealer and it could act just fine, all i have as evidence is this video clip of it bouncing as im in traffic...

If anybody has had this issue and has found a part thag has resolved this issue please reply with the deatails you were experiencing and what part fixed this issue..

Anything helps, thank you all!

Is that the same as replacing the window motor, or is that a seperate part? Were u able to replace it on your own? Thanks!

Yes, there may be cheaper alternatives regarding some wiring but I replaced the whole thing.

Have you tried just resetting the bounce? Hold the button down until it reaches the bottom and keep holding it down for an additional 5 seconds. Then raise the window to the top and hold the button up for an additional 5 seconds. The computer will learn where top and bottom is.

Ive tried this before and havent really noticed a fix. Ive even tried this when the issue is in the stuck position 1/4in. down.

It really has a mind of its own and sometimes it fixes it self and sometimes nothing fixes the issue. I think i might just order replacemeny motor and wiring and hope that fixes the issue

Try cleaning the connecters and packing with dielectric grease first.

I see you've pretty much done all of the troubleshooting with cleaning the connector and putting on dielectric and resetting the window position. These are the main things that can either temporarily fix it and in some cases permanently fix it.

If the issue still exist, the only other option is to replace the window motor itself. I'd highly recommend looking for the part on Ford just in case you have points to go towards it. I had enough points to get parts for free by redeeming the points.

I bought my Mustang used, had it 1 week, and this window bounce issue appeared. The dealer had it 6 days, and didn’t fix it. Found the fix on YouTube. Cleaned the connector with electrical contact cleaner, then added dielectric grease. Put it back together and worked perfect. You can see the water contaminate in the pictures.
