I picked up my car from the dealership today after having the evaporator replaced and on my ride home I noticed that the passenger side windshield wiper is resting higher up on the windshield than before. I have had cars in the past that had a "Present Windshield Wipers" setting that pushed them up for easier replacement, but I have not been able to find any similar settings within the car's menu nor did I find anything in the owner's manual. Does anyone have any ideas on what happened or if I can easily fix it myself? I would really like to not have to take it back to the dealership if at all possible.

Looks like they took the windshield wiper arm off during the repair and didn't locate it properly on the spindle when they put it back on. Probably needs to be taken off and put back on in proper location.

Should be able to prop the hood, get at wiper arm from underneath hood, take off rubber boot, take off the nut, pry the wiper arm off spindle, locate wiper arm properly, put it back on and do everything else in reverse order. You can get a tool to pry off the wiper arm because sometimes they are on there pretty tight. Make a note to cover the windshield with a thick blanket after propping the hood and before starting to take off wiper just in case a tool slips and smacks the windshield. Alternatively take it back to dealer and it should take a tech less about a minute to do it in their parking lot and if they hit the windshield then it’s their problem not yours.

If I remember correctly, even the windshield has locators in the glass where the arm should rest to take the guess work out of where it should be positioned. The fact that they messed it up does not surprise me unfortunately.

Cycle your wipers and you will be fine. The driver's side is also too high. No way they took the wipers off to do the work.
