Painted, DEEP Gloss Black Roof, 19GT Premium Kona Blue Exterior

My Painter has just finished painting my Roof with the Darkest Black she could find, and then Topped it off with 3 Each Heavy Clear Coats. Its definitely a Deep, Dark Black for sure. It is backing now and then I can hopefully pick up Tomorrow. She is extremally

picky with my cars paint from my first painted aftermarket part to this.

Very nice! A black roof has been on my mind since I bought my car, but I've yet to actually do it. This is definitely a huge push in that direction! Did you do the side-view mirror covers, too? I'm thinking about those, plus the spoiler on mine, along with the roof. I go back and forth on the spoiler, but definitely want the roof and mirrors black.

It's funny as it was outside the body shop, looking at my roof from a few feet away from the side, front or rear looked bluish, purplish, it's so black it seems to absorb my Kona blue. I will park in a parking lot and take more pics. They litely polished it to where it is like water sitting on a black mirror, kinda crazy, not like I pictured it.

Besides my rear CF Spoiler I did put CF covers over my door mirrors, they look really nice and gives a little accent, flow from front to back.

Which covers did you get for the mirrors? Did they leave any gaps where the paint color shows? I’ve heard mixed reviews on some of the mirror covers

I will post pics and check where I got them. What helps is, only start peeling the 3M tape at one edge of each adhesive strip tape. Put a small piece of tape on each of those corners of each adhesive strip. Then press the mirror cover over the mirror pressing inward to set in place. Then start pulling on the on the tape ends to peel the adhesive tape backing off press firm inward for about a minutes. Mine are on tight and even.

Just be careful washing/waxing it later on - black is TOO easy getting swirls and spider webbing accumulation if not using the right applicator/buffing/washing pads.

I am contemplating doing black roof or black Shelby stripes. This is a kick in the roof direction for me. Definitely cheaper than full paint stripes. No vinyl for me.
