Package Stuck at Post Office

So yea, I know with everything going on, this is one of those major 1st world problems, but....LOL

I have a package coming via postal service from the UK and it's been sitting in NY somewhere for two weeks today. No movement. The crux of it all is, no matter what options or numbers I call, I cannot end up speaking to a person at the post office. Local post office was no help. She said her best guess was hung up in customs. Any idea on what can be done to get this thing moving? Does it have to sit there for a certain amount of time?

Interesting. I shipped a package next day delivery to a St. Louis suburb (I'm in KC, same state) on 6/3. As of today, 6/10, it's supposedly sitting in Des Moines, IA. Post office said that's good news, at least it's not lost. I asked for a discount since next day was a joke, but was told it's not a guarantee. I could have driven there and back in 6 hours for about the same amount in gas money.

I'm waiting for a package as well. It seems these riots/protests have either closed down or really backed up some Postal Offices.

If it is still in NY it's in customs. Ask the shippers to put in a trace for you. You need to find out if it was stopped by something the shipper did or something they need from you.
