Washed my car one Saturday got in to take a ride and check engine light was on. I cut it off went and go my code reader and got P0300 and P308, pulled the plug looks good. Decided to pull oil cap blow by is bad plus oil catch can is full. Pulled the engine and found this.

Goodluck with your warranty claim. Hopefully your dealership doesn't try to say you did that when you took the piston out or something dumb.

What warranty? I put a supercharger on knowing what I was getting into and thank goodness I do my own work. I am installing the new short block as we speak just taking a break.

What mods did you have?
Mods are a Gen 5 stage 2 Whipple as the kit comes including tune, fuel pump, injectors and plugs. No other mods.

Running 93 or 91 octane? Im going stage 2+ whipple gen 5, hopefully my motor holds up. Im going straight to e85 though, and custom PBD tune. Do you think knock caused this, had you done a high speed run and the motor running hot or anything or just driving normally when it happened?

I always run 93 octane but who knows what we are getting. I hope you have better luck than I did but having boosted cars sense the nineties I knew 93 was not the answer especially with cast pistons seen to many break on regular (91-93) fuel so it wasn't a surprise wish it was but oh well. No high speed runs that day and a few quick blasts here and there but never anything dumb but I actually think I hurt it one morning going out of town, I filled up at a BP that I don't normally use after about a hour into the drive I got on it to merge and it stumbled pretty and set a code forgot the code. I stopped hooked up my thomahawk and pulled the code cleared it drove a eight hour total drive just normal driving and it never came back. But I noticed it had a little poop in the exhaust every now and then and it sounded different starting. But that was over at least three or four months before this. But as I said I pulled it out cleaned her up to ride out and the light came on.
