Just loaded my Lund tune and and when starting vehicle i got this code. Can the ngauge do crank relearn or do i have to have the dealer do it? I already emailed Lund but havent heard back yet.

Unfortunately, at this moment, the nGauge cannot do a crank relearn. If you have a friend that has an SCT X4, you can borrow it to do the relearn as the vehicle does not need to be married to the device to perform this procedure. Your other option is to take it to the dealer.

Let us know if you need anything else.

Thanks

You got that code just by loading the tune? That seems strange.

Try clearing the code and see if it comes back. Upon start-up did the car run ok?

The reason why I ask about mileage and other mods is I have seen cars throw this code when the gasket/seal around the sensor comes apart allowing the sensor to kind of shift in the block. Then with other mods, like having to remove the flywheel/flexplate, would require the relearn. Since you didn't mess with the trans and it has low miles...

Try reflashing the tune. I'm sure you'll hear from Lund soon, they usually answer in the order requests come in and sometimes their volume can be quite high.

So take it to the dealer and explain why it needs a crank relearn? That will get your warranty voided.

Needs the crank relearn can be quite common when flashing tunes to the car, even stock map. Find somewhere with an SCT close to you to sort it for you. :)
