Today suddenly got a engine light had 3 codes. P0171, P0174 and B108E . P's are lean codes, but am not having a rough idle or anything like that. I spraying all vacuum connections points with starter fluid everything seems good. The only weird thing that is happening right now the damn car starts to rev up by itself when you go into neutral, for about a good 6 seconds until it goes back to regular idle. Is this a cause of these lean codes? What othersymptoms would these codes cause? this thing is starting to frustrate the shit out of me .

uptade: took the car to ford last thursday took them 4 days to tell me they need to put the stock box back in and and reset the computer at a cost of $260. so picked the car up yesterday. today took off the intake cleaned the maf and throotle body. check ass lines to make sure they are connected. checked the connection at the cats. and those were alittle loose. tightened up and put everything back together and still. does it heres a video this is a straight idle only. B codes as I understand, stand for "Body" and usually are manufacturer specific unlike the "P" codes which are general. Hope this helps!

Have you been driving with lean codes since your first post on 7/14??

Yeah man, I finally figured it out. I started to disassemble everything and put back together. And it still did it. So put factory air box back on and works fine again. I looked at everything on my intake and don't see anything wrong with it so I'm stumped on that but at least my car is running right again. I'm thinking I got a hairline crack somewhere I can't see.

going by my exp with standard DTC MIL enablers

P171 is lean trim bank 1
p174 is lean trim bank 2
and the closest to B108E is most likely a P108 which is high resistance on on the map sensor which would through the first 2 codes as well, sounds like a broken cable on the map sensor loom or its not terminated into the plug correctly. it would also explain the high idle as increasing the rpm to drop the map pressure while working with the IACV. or in case of the map working in reverse it could be opening the iacv to increase pressure, which would again increase rpm.

keep in mind i haven't even received my mustang yet, but DTC codes are pretty generic across the big manufacturers

Thanks for that. Finally figured it out, something wrong with my intake.
