Yes, that's it. It should be a no-brainer not to deliver cars like that. I showed a photo of a Mustang that I saw locally with a particularly bad case of it to my father-in-law (who is always asking "cuando va a llegar tu Mustang"?), and it said that it looks like it's been badly repaired after a smash. Ah, no, it's just bad quality control.I think its the front edge. Where the bonnet locks into the latch.
How no one from build to delivery cares enough to sort it out before the keys are handed over staggers me. Ford really are embarrassing at times.
Worst mistake I ever made was telling people. On the upside, when im asked where my car is, I get to tell people how incompetent Ford are, so thats a plus. And, yes, I cop questions about when my car's arriving in English AND Spanish. Will it never end. I should NEVER have told anybody about ordering it .
So that's it! Ford aren't compromising the aesthetics of our vehicles, they are, wait for it, lowering the bonnet to improve downforce! Go Ford! :ford:Since this bonnet or hood pinch is so common... I wonder if they are purposely setting the hood catch a little lower because people were complaining that the hood/bonnet was lifting or shaking around, above certain speeds.
Setting the middle of the bonnet lower than the top of the front bar would create a little downforce possibly keeping the bonnet from lifting so soon. Or simply limiting the amount of air catching unter the bonnet...
This one doesn't (or has it been photoshopped?):I thinks it's normal to have a little bit of pinch even the new c250 has it

The fact they have reduced our header size by 20% is another hidden gem recently discovered..... but if that's their solution, I shudder to think of what other compromises they have made to the car.
Nor can I, but I've now decided that if mine arrives with NO bonnet pinch, I am going to refuse to accept delivery until they put the car back to stock conditionHaha its just a thought.... I cant work out why it would be so common. Its quite a simple fix.
Thin paint saves money ....The fact they have reduced our header size by 20% is another hidden gem recently discovered.
20% smaller headers = 5.6 seconds? The fact they have reduced our header size by 20% is another hidden gem recently discovered.
I was referring to the exhaust headers.Thin paint saves money ....
Lack of 3.73 diff wouldn't help either. Another omission that Ford AU cant explain to me.20% smaller headers = 5.6 seconds?
Probably not, but part of the puzzle?
Thin paint makes it save fuel too! I remember that they stopped painting the US day bombers in WW2 so that they could fly further into Germany from the UK.Thin paint saves money ....
Lowering the hood/bonnet is cheaper than redesigning and re ordering new catches or whatever the alternate solution would be!
