That's actually one of the better ones that I've seen - which is a concern within itself.

You mean the top tapers away too quickly to the left? (I'm assuming 3rd is the one closest to the middle on the LH side).

I mean the top one at the roofline/rear glass. The right hand side looks to not meet flush with the roofline and kindof looks sunken into the glass

Now I see what you mean. You're right. Never knew that's what a 3rd brake light refers to. So much to learn! Thanks.

Here is a pic of one from a Euro car....

Unfortunately its not really an easy fix to correct it, just have to hope ours arent this bad!

Ill admit im probably being picky with the one I commented on above, its not 'that' bad but its not perfect either.

Yep, that's pretty ordinary Mr DownUnder. Thanks for pointing out something else! Agree. Not sure on how you'd fix that easily.

"Thank you for your visit and have a good trip". That's as good as my German translation gets ...

Looks like the sticker below only works for some shifts ...

jesus that's bad, it's given me a question though - massive hypothetical I know, but possible

if we are delivered an absolute lemon (assuming problems are not visible/foreseeable when you pick it up) and the dealer must replace the vehicle, are we gonna have to wait another 13/14 months for a replacement?

If that happened.... I dont even know what I would do... My dealer would probably have to find a new site to rebuild the dealership.

true that...

or maybe it's like insurance brand new replacement clauses where they pay out the agreed value if they can't replace it in reasonable time

I think we all kind of understood that we weren't getting S Class Mercedes build quality with a mass-produced US vehicle, but I am surprised/disappointed by the amount of imperfections that we are seeing - especially after having looked at the threads posted above. I guess I was fooling myself into believing that times have changed. The only consolation is that surely build quality will improve, and so some of the later comers (Sept 2015 for me) might get a little luckier.

I'm guessing those who've already received their cars are getting cars that are a lot better than the really early ones.

Yesterday I came across a post - it was on the Ford Au Facebook page Jan 21st January from : ' Lydia Cutajar :Do not buy a Mustang! Picked up my vehicle last Wednesday from Essendon Ford and within a week I handed back the vehicle to Ford. It was an absolute lemon! You are dealing with a company who has no concern for their customer. Worst service ever experienced! Who buys a new car and then has to send it to the panel beaters for repairs!!! This vehicle and this company are an absolute joke!'
It was posted as a comment on that photo of the yellow Mustang with the kangaroos in the background.

yeah I'm pretty sure someone posted her comment in a thread on here, I'm assuming she just asked for her money back if she is indeed a real person/owner

Yeah, I dunno without pictures or actual details about all the problems, I don't really believe that one yet.
