This would be an equally good idea imo and I might be tempted to have my stock wheel modified when I've run out of other things to do to the car. If that's possible with a Mustang...

I will be using Royal steering wheels. Have seen a lot of their work and it's very good. Have asked for a price on a re trim to gt350 standard to compare costs.

Nice wheel mate, take care of the alcantara i.e. no oily crap on your hands etc because it will destroy the material and it will end up going very smooth and look like a cheap leather. I know this because it happened on my race wheel I had in the clio and it went after about a year.

Just had a reply from Royal steering wheels. They can do a rep of the GT350 for 160£ they need the wheel for 2 weeks tho.
Think I will go down this route to save 100 odd quid

Tell us how it turns out. Might be an option for a few people. Any idea how much a regular steering wheel costs that we can fit to the steering column to still drive the mustang whilst the steering wheel is MIA

Tbh doesn't really matter to me. My mustang will barely be used so a few weeks off the road won't hurt.

I'm sure if you ask nicely the someone who has a 350 wheel might give you theirs to be covered and then you can return yours once you get your new covered one back? Should be 4 or 5 spares floating around on here at least.

Waiting for the glue to set and some nice weather this weekend and she'll be almost finished!

Not entirely sure which side to mount the badge, opinions? I'm leaning towards the passenger side.

On a related note, spotlights. Yay or nay? They'd be mounted behind the mesh grill so not really noticeable unless looking at the car straight on as in the pics.
