You can fit it the wrong way round!

I had to double check as there were no instructions & no obvious markings on the thing itself, so if you look at the video you'll see one of the pipes looks to be a single piece of tubing and the other (not that clear on the vid) is made up of a series of metal fittings.

I don't know if that would actually make a difference to it's operation or if it's just to help it sit where it does, but either way I installed mine the same way round.

The metal fittings are a one way valve, I think the hoses have to be installed the right way round.

GT350 steering wheel arrived and fitted today.

It's all pretty self-explanatory when you remove the airbag, but I had this http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34155 thread on hand just in case.

The wheel does feel a lot nicer. £300 nicer though? Hmmm, not so sure about that.

Still need to find a way to change the 12 o'clock marker to white somehow.

Just the overall feel TBH.

Sure, it's a little thicker than standard and it's covered in alcantara (new to me) which I've always wanted to try, I'm just not sure that those differences are worth £300.

Put it this way, cost is not an issue for me with this car. I plan on keeping it a long time & I want it exactly how I want it, which meant changing the wheel. If, however, you're modifying your car with an eye on costs or a prioritised list, this should be below quite a lot of other things.

That said, I did only drive it about a mile down a dual carriageway after fitting so maybe my opinion will change with a few more miles.

I'm tempted to have mine re trimmed instead of a full replacement. Can then have any colour stripe I want and can have a different combo of materials around it.

Pretty sure there will lots of stock wheels going cheap too!

The alcantara is the main reason I wanted one. I had read in more than one place that it could have done with being thicker. Coming from an M-Sport wheel I may notice this.

This would be an equally good idea imo and I might be tempted to have my stock wheel modified when I've run out of other things to do to the car. If that's possible with a Mustang...

Does to me, coz if u drill holes for this, then ur limited to what spoiler can go on,
Unless you plug holes, which looks untidy,
I'll probably go track pack spoiler
