I am a Mustang guy through and through and while I agree, the Modular Motors do sound pretty good, they will never sound as good as a big cam LS7. Just my $.02

It hurt to say that a little bit.
I don't think it compares to my 8250 rpm turning 5.2 FPC Voodo!!!
Just my .02

Personally not a fan of cammed LS motors. Sounds like a fucking tractor. With that said I think the 5.0 is among the best sounding v8s there are and the note is very distinguishable to other v8s

My significant other has a Trans Am Ws6... beautiful car, fast, and fun.. but sounds like a damn boat. lol. I still roll around with him in it though! Love T-Tops!

I've owned a cammed CTS-V with Kooks + Corsa and a cammed Mustang GT with ARH + Magnaflow (hopefully another soon) and they both sounded great.

But that Jag tho.

This thread needs sound clip....

Maybe I missed it but where is the Coyote in that vid? Surely I turned away when it was on screen.

The coyote is easily the best performing ford small block to make its way into a mustang in a very long time, but it is far from the best sounding. It's hard to beat the sound of a 2v 4.6 through a cheap set of 40 series.
Sorry, I've always thought that sounded like ass. I'm old school. Love the deep rumble of a V8. I've had small block chevys, with and without a 6-71 blower, small block Fords, big block Oldsmobile's and Pontiac's. All with the old "Turbo" mufflers, glass packs and stock quiet mufflers.
Every time I hear 4.6 with Flow 40's, it's like dragging your fingernails down a chalk board. (Yes, I'm old enough to remember chalk boards too! :D ) Just a personal opinion. But it's mine, so it's right! :D :D :headbonk:

I had a '00 GT with the 4.6, and it was the best sounding stock set up on a regular mustang GT ever I thought (excepting maybe some of the 60's cars). At least as heard from outside the car. The Coyote sounds better from the interior, but is just too quiet from outside.
