The coyote is easily the best performing ford small block to make its way into a mustang in a very long time, but it is far from the best sounding. It's hard to beat the sound of a 2v 4.6 through a cheap set of 40 series.

V8s are not becoming history, alternative power plants are being produced
for sure but the V8 is def going to stick around for muscle cars and pick up trucks

I have a 5.0 GT and a 5.0 F150.......Would not have it any other way

 Meh.

I think this coyote with a Corsa catback is one of the sweetest sounds ever on a American V8. Old school sound is great, but to me lacks the musical character of the aforementioned combo.

I completely agree, the sound of the stock GT exhaust is truly amazing. It sounds even better though with a relatively inexpensive H pipe.
Can I get a deeper/louder sound just doing an H pipe install?

The Coyote sounds good but a little Voodoo takes it up a notch :ninja:

My 97 gt with off road h pipe and mac flowpaths was the best sounding mustang I have ever heard! Car was slow as hell, but it sounded mean

First part is debatable but I completely agree that the 2V is the best sounding Mustang I can think of. 4Vs just seem to have a lot of rasp and don't sound as good.

The reason I got rid of my 2013 BMW 335i M Sport... Never like the exhaust note. My Borla ATAK catbacks were already in my garage when my 2016 Mustang GT arrived. Only time I drive with the windows up is when I'm on the freeway.

That exotic and earpiercing rasp is exactly why I prefer the Coyote sound to any previous Mustang. I've always been a huge fan of muscle car exhaust notes, but the Coyote sounds like a straight up racecar.

As I was winding through the gears at the interstate on-ramp today I was again reminded how this engine just SINGS at high RPM. I've never heard an engine not sound like it's straining. This one just sounds like it's just purring along, taking all you can give it and waiting on the next gear so it can do it all over again.
