yeah quite likely. I would have thought it would have been harder to do that in an Auto than a M. Either way its a total
It's quite easy to do in either ;)! Rear wheel drive, water, lots of power, unskilled driver, shit pzeros - doesn't matter if you've got a manual or an auto, you're screwed

If that's a Guard, that's now 2 of the 130 approx. in the UK written off as I seem to recall there were some pics on here a few months back where someone stuffed theirs into a pub somewhere down south... unless it's the same one!

Edit: Further evidence that P-Zero's and a lead foot don't work together!
As no one on here knows what happened it's evidence of precisely sweet FA..

The available scenarios, are so many and varied it ain't even worth guessing.

How would those that are suggesting driver error, and shit tyres feel, if the truth was that the driver took avoiding action to avoid a child...

It'd be:

Better tyres and he wouldn't have skidded  .

No jokes aside; we all like to assume the worst.

Still relatively easy to break traction in an auto - if the wheels aren't in line, a boot-full, or even a slightly heavy foot will break traction easily. Done 8000 miles so far in most conditions and tyres are fine as long as you respect the power and grip available and don't treat the throttle like an on/off switch

This chap clearly had a bad day but it doesn't necessarily follow that it was his fault. Wonder if he had a dashcam?

Interestingly, despite the front end damage the deployable hood doesn't seem to have fired.

Auto is easier to spin if its in auto mode and if mid corner you squeeze the throttle a little and it downshifts to a lower gear multiplying the torque to rear wheels which a lower does and hence breaking traction in an instant and round you go.

Those who are old enough to remember the Supra, they are well know for their auto kick down and then turbo coming on boost sending most of them into fields upside down. :D

It is a fair comment that the Pzero's aren't "at their best" when they are cold; I have had some "interesting experiences" in my EB auto with them. I think they are fine once they are warmed up, but still intend to swap them for Michelins when I need to replace them.

Ohhhhh I want a supra so bad!
No you don't, they are shit! Though the engine is a master piece for tuning. But handling wise oh my, they are poor, beyond poor, need a lot of work to make them handle by which time you could of just purchased a nicer all round modern car.

Though a last UK 6-speed manual VVTi is the best of them and are OK if not chavved/riced up and hold their value very well.
