I find it odd that anyone hates 3.73s.

I know the 6-speed has a stout first gear ratio and all, but I've always liked steep gearing in my Mustangs.

I can see why someone wouldn't like them. I've grown [to like] mine after having a sour taste for the first week of driving, but I still think 3.55s would be more enjoyable for daily driving.

Edit: a word

Point taken on a DD, but my Mustangs have always been fair-weather toys.....

PP is much more than tires - it's a different rear, massive brakes, bigger radiator, stiffer springs & sway bars, strut tower and front subframe braces, more gauges, etc. It'll cost a lot more to add that stuff later, as I'm finding out.

PP vs Aftermarket Add-Ons

You know you can just get bigger brakes after market/springs after market. That's a lot of money in Canada for the PP if you don't want much else from it.

But if you want the 19's and don't like the black, just get the PP and have them stripped and that power coated to something else you want. The cost of after market 19's is probably 2/3s of the PP price.

The main thing is the 3.55's...that's a nice gear ratio and everyone seems to love it.
Here in the USA, the aftermarket Brembos alone cost $2,000, vs $2,500 for the entire PP package which includes a crap-ton of other goodies. Aftermarket springs & swaybars will set you back another $600 (again, here in the USA).
Price out the parts before you walk away from the PP package - you're going to wind up paying more $$$ for less goodies, and kicking yourself.:frusty:

The summer tires are definately something to consider though with the PP. Not sure they work too well in the snow
