I plan on ordering a new mustang this weekend. I have my pricing lists and what deal I plan on trying to get. I have everything picked out and ready to go. However, my question is for people who have ordered. Did you put any money down for your order and also did you car payments start when you took delivery of your Mustang?

I only paid a $500 refundable deposit to place the order. Other than that we left pricing and everything else until delivery to see what incentives are available.

They pretty much give you a pretty high price at time of order and hopefully when the car arrives some incentives will be there too. I wouldn't anticipate too many with the hot summer months coming. Maybe around Fall.

I was quoted 41k on a 43.4k MSRP, but I need to go in and talk to them about it and see what we can do to bring that down some if its even possible.

Yeah, if incentives show up after Memorial Day, it will most likely be applicable to '16s only (to clear the lots for the '17s). Then you run into the fact that the Mustang isn't always included in Ford's big promos...

zero down, first payment showed up a month after we secured financing. (we secured our own financing a few days before we took delivery)

1K down to get it ordered, negotiated price then. When the car came in I renegotiated the price even lower. Credit Union financing first payment 30 days later.

My msrp was 42220, 39,400 is what I negotiated too. So you look to be in line.

Some may get a better deal, but I'm comfortable paying that cost.
