Good news I'll be ordering through my Ford Dealer today. They want me to put a $1000 deposit on the car which I have. However I was wondering if when they get the car I change my mind will I get my money back. Curious how much all of you paid deposit for the car.

Now when you did that. Did you get in writing or some sort of paper saying refuandable deposit?

Only the dealer knows if your deposit Is refundable.

My dealer didn't require one but I am long time customer. Ordered several cars from them and haven't ever backed out.

500-1k is not unheard of. Refundable is the norm.

I'm in Canada, $1000 non-refundable deposit. However YMMV.

First dealer I spoke with wanted a $500 non-refundable deposit. Dealer I actually ordered from did not ask for a deposit, and I was a first time customer.

I gave them my card number for a $500 deposit and then they decided that they weren't going to charge me for it. So technically zero.
