Good Morning,

I am ordering tires for my MRR FS02 20"x10" and 20"x11" wheels and am seeking a second-check on my math. I'm ordering:

Michelin PS4S 275/30/20 Fronts (26.5" Diameter)
Michelin PS4S 305/30/20 Rears (27.2" Diameter)

My original wheels/tires were the performance pack bits measuring at:

Pirelli Pzero 255/40/19 Fronts (27.0" Diameter)
Pirelli Pzero 275/40/19 Rears (27.7" Diameter)

Here is where I need the double-check on math. With the diameters listed above, my going with 30 series tires on 20" wheels will reduce the overall wheel/tire diameter by 0.5" for both the front and rear. This means that I will increase tire to fender gap by 0.25" respectively...correct? I'm fairly certain I'm spot on, but would love to hear your opinions before I pull the trigger on such a large purchase. Thanks,

- Mike

Math looks spot on to me, wheel gap would probably be closer to mine then.

You might consider a 285/30 for the front, depending on the offset of your wheels. I'm running 6gr 20s w/ that size in the front (1.2" drop) and I think it looks pretty good. I think a 275/35 would look better, but I'm running a 305/35 in the rear and the gap is exactly the same in the front and back for me (0.5" drop in the rear). The best "look" would probably be 275/35r20 and 315/35r20 rear with coilovers to set the height perfectly.

You must have read my mind. I'm stuck in between ordering 275/30/20s or 285/30/20s for the front. Not a huge difference between the two, and I'm sure both will fit fine on a 20x10 +35, but nevertheless I am in debate. Any rubbing issues at all with your 285s? Even at full lock? Thanks,

- Mike

No rubbing issues whatsoever. It is my daily as well so I go over large speedbumps and steep inclines all the time and don't think I'm even close to rubbing. At full turn both directions, I still have plenty of space, and about a 1 finger fender-tire gap when centered. They are still shorter than stock at 26.7, but at least you'll be closer to stock tire height.

Either one will work fine. going from 275 or 285 is a toss up.

Me personally. I would like a 285 because 275 with that wide of wheel is leaning towards the stretched look. Which to me only looks good if you are tucking fenders.
