Ordering system for the future

This method of how we personally order our cars is going to come to an end which is why Ford Au have kept the options to a minimum to simplify things .
Some time in the coming year, "following" your personal car through the system will no longer apply.
It will revert back to Ford Australia ordering quantities of assorted Mustangs in the same way as any importer does. Any customer orders left over from the old system will be included in the above mix and divvyed out when they arrive in Oz. There are 170 Ford dealers in Australia which is why things are a bit slow.
Ford dealers will place orders with Ford Au based on orders they have received and the sort of options their customers want.
I would imagine that this has come about due to the shit fight with the current system.

Do you know when that will kick in (and I'm presuming you've heard from a friend in Ford?)?

Will everyone who has ordered thus far still get the journey?

Hi Scott,
Yes I did hear from a friend. I believe it will kick in next year and as I mentioned, those that had already placed their order before the cut-off point will get their car as ordered, but won't get the journey during its production, etc.

I am not sure we were able to " personally order our cars"..
we had very little choice - V8 or 4T - manual/auto, fastback/convertible.

I'm not sure if what is reported here is much different from the current. It will just mean you select from stock already ordered.

I think Ford got caught out with the demand and couldn't cope with feedback.. so they want to stop people "following the build..etc"
