Well we could do this....Who has a GT350 with a Whipple on it ? How much does it weigh ? Then we could take a few pounds for the rotors and get a decent guess. I weighed my car at a truck stop and it was 3840, and I had a full tank.

This could give us a decent start ?
Not a bad start. Jim Owens did mention in the Shelby bash video that the 350 and 500 trans were about the same weight.

However, I think we will all find out soon enough.

I was just told by the owner of my dealer that the order forms/banks will be out Monday and if not released Monday a formal announcement will be made to dealers as to the delay. He wants me to to finalize my specs Monday "to get in the front of the line" hahhaa,...

I agree, but that is just speculation. Maybe Harry thought you had some real info.
I wish I had real, but superchargers just don't weigh 300lbs. I am hoping for the best

If you are sure the weight of the new GT500 will be a lot less than people expected, what are your sources and also what are you suggesting for the weight of this car?

:)
I am voting....3967 lbs for the track pack.

re: MSRP

I'm __still__ thinking: $69K Base, +$4K HP (handling package), +$12K CFTP (supersedes HP)

I'm curious - per my comment in another thread comparing ZL1 and HC prices - if Ford will load it up in terms of other options. I'm assuming they'll be all be "GT Premium" equivalent and have the LCD dash, heated stuff (where applicable), memory functions, BLIS - safe and smart as an option? I mean, that extra cost is trivial, I'm just wondering if they're going to go GM's way with the ZL1 and basically make all the nickel and dime options standard (maybe offer the B&O as the only major, non-performance option).

I can see a 69k Tag for the base. The CF package perhaps ringing in at 79k or maybe 75k ? That would put it just above the R for a base, and all of the track goodies ringing in at just under 80k. MSRP of course.
